Medical Billing Services

    We provide solutions to medical billing companies, hospitals, physicians and group practices. With a team of trained billers and certified coders, Medrona partners with over 1600 doctors across the nation in over 30 states. We have extensive experience managing billing across radiology, anesthesia, geriatrics, family medicine, primary care, multi-specialty medicine, and more.
  2. How much experience does your staff have in medical billing?
    Our team of certified coders and highly experienced billers comes with over 10 years of experience managing complex, high volume transactions across several medical specialties.
  3. What is Gold standard performance?
    Per Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) statistics, companies which have 90% first pass payment and accounts receivables > 120 days at under 10%, tend to report an average increase of 15% in collected revenues. Medrona works with our clients to achieve these standards.
  4. What is your turnaround time for processing?

  5. How do you stay informed of changes to state and federal regulations and guidelines?
    We have dedicated staff identifying routine changes to rules, regulations and guidelines. Our teams have ongoing training to ensure they are up-to-date on these changes.
  6. What billing compliance policies and procedures do you use?
    We work within the policy and procedural framework laid out in the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Guidelines.

Coding Services

  1. Do you offer ICD-10 coding services?
    Yes. Our coders are ICD-10 certified and can work with your team to transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 without impacting your operational standards.
  2. Do you offer code review services?
    Yes. We have certified coders who will review your charts for compliance with reimbursement protocols.
  3. Do you offer E&M audits?
    Yes. Our certified coders will review your charts and create a matrix of data points to validate the level of service selected, and also identify gaps in the data points that can help physicians optimize the coding of E&M visits.

Information security

  1. Are your services HIPAA compliant?
    All our policies, protocols, procedures, emails and access to client servers are structured to be compliant with HIPAA regulation
  2. Do you have record retention and storage policies?
    All records are electronically archived and retained for up to 3 years.

Working with Medrona

  1. Do you offer a trial period?
    We have a 30-day trial period for physicians and hospitals. During this time we help you evaluate our processes, understand the workflow between our teams, and do a trial run of some of our services so you can see how it works within your environment.
  2. What is the onboarding process?
    We want to help you transition to our team as easily as possible. Medrona has a dedicated onboarding team who will work with you and our operations team to help set up your account, processes and services within 30 days of your contract.
  3. Do I get a dedicated team that works on my account?
    You get a service and support team that is focused on the success of your account.
    As soon as you sign with Medrona, we will assign an account manager to work with you on an ongoing basis. Your account manager is your point of contact for all communications, status updates, reports, etc.
    In addition, you will have a dedicated staff that is only assigned to work on your account. They will build specific expertise tailored to your practice and specialties, and work with you to optimize your medical billing process.
  4. How do you help in increasing our collections?
    We research payer protocols and submit clean claims to ensure negligible denials. Also, we work with you and your team to identify primary causes for denials and help develop solutions to manage recurrent denials.
  5. How do we pay you?
    We accept payment through wire transfers, credit cards and checks.
  6. How do we get started?
    Just fill out our simple contact form and someone from Medrona will contact you within 24 hours. We can answer your questions and help you work through the evaluation and sign-up process.
  7. Can you address current healthcare issues that affect our practice?
    Yes. We do Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) review and reporting for our clients.
